A summary of the class timings are listed below:

Step 1
Register for the Estate Agents Examinations set by the Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Malaysia (LPPEH). Registration forms may be purchased from Good Institute or the Board. 

Step 2
Study, go for the exams and obtain a pass in all 12 subjects for the old syllabus or 11 subjects for the new syllabus (awaiting gazette). Exams are held in June/July every year. As the new ruling for the Estate Agency Examination allowing candidates to enrol for 11 subjects simultaneously will soon to be gazetted, candidates may aspire to complete the examination in 1 year, however, a total of 5 years is given by the Board for Candidates to pass all subjects. While the new ruling is awaiting gazette, students can continue following the old syllabus which provides 3 years to complete Part 1 and 4 years for Part 2. There will be a credit transfer from old syllabus to new syllabus when the gazette is done.

Step 3
Upon passing the estate agent's examination, candidates are eligible to be registered as a probationary estate agent. Candidates only need to undergo 2 years of post-qualifying practical training and experience in Malaysia under a registered estate agent and attend the Test of Professional Competence. 

 

Candidates who successfully complete these 3 steps will become a registered Estate Agent in Malaysia and be able to start their own Real Estate agency.

 

 

Eligibility of Candidates:
The pre-requisites required by the Board to be eligible for pursuing the Estate Agents License are listed below. 

1. Candidates must be a Malaysian citizen.
2. Candidates must be 17 years of age and above
3. Candidates only need to possess a SPM/MCE qualification with at least 5 subject passes where at least 3 of them should be credit level passes.

One of the subjects with credit must be any of the following:
a) Mathematics
b) Science
c) Accounts
d) Commerce

Other higher qualifications recognized by Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (03-8885 3365/60/61) or Lembaga Akreditasi Negara (03-7968 7002/57/33) will also be considered.
